About Alawooder

A little more room.
For living.

Furniture for the way home works today. Thoughtful designs for compact corners, changing routines, and everyday life.

Our point of view

It starts with
everyday life.

Working from home rarely happens in a room devoted to work alone. A bedroom becomes a study. A quiet corner becomes a place to focus. At Alawooder, we design with that everyday overlap in mind.

Our focus is modern home office furniture shaped around simple setup, compact spaces, and changing routines. Useful pieces that make room for the task at hand, while leaving room for the rest of life.

What guides us

Less complication.
More possibility.

Design-driven.

We begin with everyday needs, then consider how form and function can work together in the home.

Easy to use.

A simpler setup. A surface that folds away. We look for ways to make furniture easier to use in everyday routines.

Better for compact spaces.

Corners, bedrooms, and rooms that do more than one thing. Our focus is making a useful workspace feel at home in them.

The beginning of Alawooder

A small room.
A bigger idea.

Vivi / Founder

One small room.

Vivi’s rental was small. Work, coffee, reading, and everyday life all needed a place. Alawooder began with her wish to make those moments fit more comfortably into the home she had.

Vivi + Dr. Yao

An idea, shared.

Vivi joined with designer Dr. Yao to begin Alawooder. Together, they gave the idea a direction: furniture for the everyday moments that had felt difficult to fit into a small rental.

The folding desk

First, a folding desk.

The first design was a folding desk. Work became the starting point for a wider idea: furniture shaped around the different moments that have to share a small home.

The folding rolling desk

The idea grows.

Next came a folding rolling desk. The collection continued from the same starting point: a small rental, everyday routines, and the wish to give work and life a more comfortable place.

The sofa-side folding desk

Beside the sofa.

Then came a folding desk designed for use beside the sofa. The story turned toward another part of home: coffee, a book, and a moment to pause in everyday life.

Alawooder

Better living. Better working.

Life at home holds work, coffee, books, and time to pause. Alawooder brings those everyday moments into one simple idea: better living, better working, with room for the life around you.

For the focused hours, the quiet moments, and everything that happens in between.

01 / Work

Room to focus.

A place for a laptop and the task at hand.

02 / Pause

Room to pause.

A useful surface close to where you read and unwind.

03 / Reset

Room to reset.

Folding designs that put the room back in your hands.

Form, with a purpose

The idea is
in the detail.

A folding frame. An adjustable work surface. A desk that can move with the day. Across our collection, practical details respond to familiar needs at home.

We consider how a piece opens, how it is used, and the space it takes up when the work is done. The aim is simple: furniture that feels easier to live with.
